Some wonderful features for writers on Twitter are the writing prompts. The most popular one is #vss365. VSS stands for Very Short Story and 365 relates to the amount of days in a year. Each month, there is a different host which keeps the prompts fresh and interesting. Each host sends out a prompt word to the rest of the world for every day of their month. This is a fantastic way to keep the brain ticking over during these unusual times. I highly recommend you try it out. Make sure to follow me on Twitter so I can see your contributions to the hashtag. I look forward to reading your work! Even if you don't write and like reading snappy short stories, this is ideal.
There are many prompts to choose from depending on your preference: #vssdaily #vsshumour #LimerickRhyme #vssmurder #vsshorror #vsshauntedhouse #FromOneLine #Converstory #vssmed #vsspic #vssnature #vssmagic #vsspoem etc.
I have dabbled with them all.

There is also a wonderful Writing Community on Twitter. They are supportive and welcoming which is what everyone wants, right? They are such a talented bunch and yet they are so humble too. So come along and say hello!
